🚲 Brad Craven, 72, has died in hospital five weeks after being seriously injured in a crash in Cardiff. He was involved in a head-on collision with a car on Dunleavy Drive in Grangetown on Saturday, May 17 and died from his injuries on Friday, June 20. - Steph Colderick, WalesOnline.
🚁 A giant crane was used as part of a major operation to remove the air ambulance from the University Hospital of Wales, as the helicopter is taken for urgent safety checks on Tuesday. - Steph Colderick, WalesOnline.
🚂 Ty Glas station will be closed for nearly a year from Saturday, July 19. Transport for Wales will be carrying out major upgrades to Ty Glas station and its level crossing, allowing for the introduction of brand-new trains onto the Coryton line. - Transport for Wales.
👮♀️ With the new neighbourhood policing guarantee there will be more activity to tackle anti-social behaviour in South Wales Police communities, including Cardiff. - South Wales Police.
🚗 It has taken five years for the former Mermaid Quay car park, in Cardiff Bay, to be reduced to just rubble. A proposal to demolish and build over the Mermaid Quay multi-storey car park was put to Cardiff Council in 2019 and approved in 2021. - Steph Colderick, WalesOnline.
🌳 A Bronze Age burial site has been found under Trelai Park. A new structure containing cremated human remains has been discovered adjacent to the roundhouse that was previously found. - Indigo Jones, WalesOnline.
🏠 Mohammed Abdul Kowsor Choudhury, from Cyncoed, and his company, Pine Best Ltd, were fined a total of £54,000, with a further £10,000 in costs for illegally turning six flats into 11 separate homes. - Abbie Wightwick, WalesOnline.

🎸 In exciting Oasis news a pop-up store will open in St David’s shopping centre from today until Sunday, July 6 selling exclusive merchandise as the band kick off their reunion tour in Cardiff on Friday, July 4 and Saturday, July 5. - Robert Dalling, WalesOnline.
👀 It is not just a pop-up Oasis shop coming to Cardiff too, St David’s shopping centre is also unveiling a gigantic piece of artwork dedicated to the Gallagher brothers this Saturday. The artwork will be 250 sq ft, nearly as tall as a double-decker bus, depicting Noel and Liam. Uniquely, the monochrome portrait will be made entirely of bucket hats – in their thousands! - St David’s shopping centre.
🎭 Cardiff’s pub theatre The Other Room and Welsh homelessness charity The Wallich have produced a new play that will be performed on the streets of Cardiff. An Orange in the Subway will be performed at Mackenzie Park from Tuesday, September 9 to Saturday, September 27. - Nation Cymru.
💃 Holland & Barrett are hosting Sunrise Sessions which is all about feel-good music, mindfulness and a healthy start to the day and it’s happening inside their Queen Street store. 🍫 If you are after a sweet treat to try in Cardiff, head to The Ivy. They have launched a new decadent Dubai-inspired chocolate bombe dessert. ⚽ Gareth Bale believes he is the right person to lead Cardiff back to the Premier League and intends to be heavily involved if the investment group he is working with complete a takeover, a source close to the 35-year-old has said.
